Vehicle Sticker Payment

Calumet City vehicle stickers are on sale now. All vehicles are required to have a vehicle sticker on or before May 31st. New stickers must be purchased and displayed by May 31st to avoid a $100.00 late charge.

You can also purchase your vehicle sticker in person at the City Clerk’s Office.

Vehicles that were not registered in Calumet City the previous years must transfer their vehicle registration through the Illinois Secretary of State Vehicle office BEFORE purchasing a vehicle sticker. Verification of the transfer must be submitted to purchase a vehicle sticker.

City of Calumet City Residents,

As a courtesy to all our residents, we are extending the Clerk’s office hours to better serve you during our city vehicle sticker season. The temporary Clerk’s business hours will be for the months of April and May. The city vehicle stickers will be available for purchase beginning March 18, 2024.

Q: Do new vehicles need a sticker?

A: Yes, new vehicles must have a vehicle stickers within 30 days of purchase. You must provide proof of purchase date. This must be done in person at the City Clerk’s office.

Q: Can I transfer a current vehicle sticker to a new vehicle?

A: Yes. A licensee may transfer a vehicle sticker from the vehicle originally assigned to another vehicle purchased. The cost is $10.00 and you must provide a portion of the old sticker indicating the number and old receipt. This must be done in person at the City Clerk’s office.

Q: I just moved to Calumet City. When do I buy a vehicle sticker?
