How do you use Mobile Fidelity LP #9 Stylus Cleaner?

I bought some today. It has a brush in the bottle and another that looks like the usual stylus brush and no directions.

Do I use the brush with the liquid first then the other brush?

Use the brush in the bottle directly to the stylus tip with just a couple of forward motion strokes.
Then I sometimes follow with the little dry brush and I always use the dry brush before each play. holding the dry brush to the right hand side of the cart.

The way I used to use it, was to apply a small amount from the brush in the bottle, onto the supplied Stylus Brush. Then I would clean the Stylus, and with this method, I was trying to use as little as possible, to prevent the fluid from possibly running up the Cantilever, which may have caused detrimental effects.

My take, is use as little as possible to get the job done, swamping the Stylus with fluids I feel serves no benefit. Mark

I should have got this stuff 2 years ago. 25 buck and it's made a huge difference, it's as if my stylus has been lubed. And it seems to track better.

Now for a cheapo record cleaner, the Spin-O-Matic or whatever it's called.

EasyRiderNYC if you think the stylus cleaning fluid made a huge difference save your pennies for a used RCM ( Nitty gritty/Record Doctor/VPI) instead of a Spin-O-Matic, they show up in places like Audiogon/Craigslist.
